Info:
When laser pulse durations fall below 40 ps, electronic measurement devices are too slow to measure the light pulses. Instead optical pulse measurement methods such as autocorrelation and frequency resolved optical gating (FROG) are used. Tampere University has the following devices for ultrashort laser pulse measurement. For longer pulse length measurements, see the fast oscilloscope capabilities.
- FROG (Femto Easy), FROG pulse characterization system, pulse duration 50 fs – 40 ps; wavelength range: config1: 800-1200nm, config2: 1500-2000nm
- Femtochrome FR-103PD, FR-103XL, FR-103MN, FR-103WS, FR-103HP, autocorrelators for femtosecond and picosecond pulses.
- Thorlabs Autocorrelator for femtosecond lasers, 50fs-10ps, 650-1100 nm.
