Waveguide and fiber alignment

Optical waveguides and fibers need to be precisely aligned together during component characterization and before the permanent assembly of fiber-pigtails to photonic waveguide chips. Required alignment accuracy can be from several micrometers to <100 nm depending on the types and sizes of the waveguides and fibers. Here we summarize related services and alignment tools, which also include fiber-to-fiber splicing.
